The rules for this Challenge are: Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to the 6th folder and pick the sixth photo. Post that photo on your blog along with a short story about it. This is my neice and her husband who got married on September 20th, 2008. They're having their photo taken by this old fire truck. Her wedding was held outside. She arrived in the firetruck to the wedding along with the flowergirl, ringbearer and brides maid. This wedding was absolutely beautiful. She's a very special neice in my life. The only neice that I have on my side of the family. I love her dearly!

Thank U~Handmade Card~ Changito Rubber Stamp

I love the Changito Rubber Stamps. This little monkey is just so cute holding his sign telling someone special a Thank U.

I have used copic markers and glitter on the flower and monkey. I have added prima flowers and a ribbon to this card.

I'm still having a problem with taking my pictures and having them show up bright on my blog.
I have ordered a photo studio kit and hope to get it on Monday or Tuesday. I sure hope that this helps.

Happy Birthday~Penny Black Your Day~ Handmade Card

This is a card that I created tonight using Penny Black's stamp called "Your Day". I just love this stamp for a Birthday Card. I have used copic markers on this image and added stickles to the lettering of Happy Birthday. I have added ribbon, fiber, brads and Prima flowers to this card.

What's Been Happening in our Area "ICE/SNOW"

Hello, It's good to be back on the old laptop. We have not had access to Tv or the internet for 3 days. Boy, are we spoiled!!! This is the kind of weather that we have had since Tuesday. The above pictures were taken on Wednesday out our back door and the front yard. The snow started falling and those flakes looked like they were the size of a $.50 cent piece. It sure is pretty but dangerous!! Our county went to a Level 3 Emergency on Wednesday, and also surrounding counties. No work on Wednesday! The school system has been out all week, except Monday. Also, the neighbors surrounding us had no electric. Boy that was rough. Our daughter Dee, just got her electric turned on a couple of hours ago. It's strange. It would skip one neighbor's house with no electric and then the next one would have electric. We have had trees fall all around us on our property, and also on the roadways. Can't wait for Spring, but the rumor is on Monday and Tuesday we're headed for a bigger storm. So everyone take care and keep safe.

Winter Storm Warning in our Area

It sure is bad out in our neck of the woods. We are at a level 2 Emergency tonight. Tomorrow is going to be even worse. If we get a Level 3 Emergency. I will be staying home tomorrow from work. Maybe I can scrap, unless our electricity goes off. Right now we're having freezing ice coming down. Tomorrow morning it's to snow between 5-9 inches on top of the ice, and snow that we already have. I don't mind driving in snow, but don't like the ice!!!

I'm having a problem with taking photos of my items/cards. The color is not showing up very bright. So I ordered a photo studio kit to see if that helps. I changed some settings on my camera, and I thought maybe it helped some, but still not coming out the way I want them. I see other items on blogs and they are really bright in color. If anyone has any ideas please advise, or tell me if they have a photo studio and it helps. Have a great evening and keep safe.

This is a Baby Boy Handmade card that I created tonight. I have used the stamps Peek A Boo Baby and Sleeping Baby stamps to create this card. I just love these stamps. The little baby boy stamp reminds me of our grandson when he hardly had any hair.

Monkey~Banana~Handmade Card

Look at this cute little monkey eating his banana's. He kinda reminds me of our grandson who loves to visit and get a banana out of the fruit bowl. He dearly loves them. If he could I think he would climb and pick his own from the tree.

I have added an embellishment, prima flowers and ribbon to this card.

The weekends sure do go by fast. Hoping to create a couple of projects tomorrow or Monday! Wishing everyone a good and safe Sunday!

Valentine~My Love~Handmade Card

This is the handmade Valentine Card that I created tonight. I really couldn't decide on how to create this card. I wanted to make little hearts to go on the card. So I used my Cricut Expression machine to create them. I have sewn on the card, added lace, and put the hearts on the Prima flowers which is placed on a pop-up.

Vintage Teacher Valentine's Day Handmade Card

I created this card today with the help of my Sister's idea. I bought several old Vintage Valentine Cards approx 2-3 years ago at an estate sale. I just love the old vintage cards. Some of the cards have writing on the back with the year 1921 thru 1930's, and also the names of the people receiving the cards and those sending the cards. I wanted to show the back of the card with the dates and writings. So we came up the idea of putting the old cards in a clear plastic envelope so you could see the dates and writings on the inside of the card. I wanted to share this card with you and see what you think.

I created a square opening and enclosed the old Valentine card inside of the clear envelope. I have stitched the cardstock, patterned paper and the clear plastic envelope together, and then attached to my cardstock. It doesn't show the clear envelope with the old card very well in this picture. Then I added the ribbon and Prima flowers.

Any ideas greatly appreciated for these old Vintage Valentine Cards.

Snoopy/Happy Birthday Handmade Card

I created this morning a Snoopy/Happy Birthday Handmade Card. The card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

The ballons have been glittered. On the image I used copic markers, and distressed around the image. Then added ribbon and some brads. This would make a cute card for any child.

This is a card that I created from Penny Black called Party Animals. These animals seem to be having fun at their party. I really love her stamps, and just had to buy it.

On the image I have used copic markers, and stickles. I have sewn on the card and added ribbons. I placed the image on pop-ups. The back of the card has coordinating paper and I have sewn on it. The inside of the card is blank. This would make a perfect Birthday card for that someone special.

This is a handmade card that I created today using Victoria Case Stamps called "Bear Balloon" which is a digital stamp. The little bear is so cute holding his balloon. Oglebay Winter Festival of Lights

Oh, what a beautiful site to see. We just came home last night from seeing the Oglebay Winter Festival of Lights www.oglebay.com in Wheeling WV with our grandchildren. Oglebay is approximately 3-4 hours from our home. So on the way we just had to eat at a Cracker Barrel. That's the grandchildren's plus hubby's favorite place to eat. We really enjoyed seeing the lights and surrounding area. The lights go for 6 miles, with millions of lights and covering 300 acres. I took these pictures inside the car while riding and it doesn't do justice for what the lights really looked like. It was so beautful at night to see. I just wanted to share.
